TREASURED HEIRLOOMS
SUSTAINABLY
CRAFTED
Exodus Goldsmiths is a woman-owned business in an industry that is predominantly male. We’re hoping to change that.
While the jewelry industry itself has advanced greatly in regards to technology and innovation over the past 100 years, there is a lack of representation by the clients it predominantly serves: women.
At Exodus Goldsmiths, we believe that sustainability, transparency, and craftsmanship are of the highest importance. The actual art of jewelry making is nearly lost. Gold plated, hollow, cheaply made jewelry is the new norm. We create art, but we also help our clients design high quality heirlooms that they will pass on from generation to generation—pieces that last the test of time. We use only recycled precious metals, and responsibly sourced gemstones, diamonds and pearls. Our clients deserve to be informed, educated, and be at peace knowing that not only will their piece last for generations, but that the materials used to craft it are eco-friendly and human-rights friendly. Please visit our Ethics & Sustainability page for more detailed information.

What is Your Favorite Type of Jewelry To Make/Design?
Definitely engagement rings! I enjoy making any type of jewelry, but engagement rings are special because you're making them a family heirloom that will be passed down (hopefully) for another hundred years. The ring I make will far outlive me as a human, and I that just boggles my mind sometimes.
How Did You Come Up With Your Business Name?
Exodus chapter 31, verses 3-5. It talks about a man named Bezalel and how God gifted him with wisdom and knowledge and skills. Specifically artistic skills of designing works in previous metals and setting gems. This passage inspired me to create a fine jewelry brand where I can express the skills and talents He has given me.
Did You Design Your Own Engagement Ring?
Of course! I couldn't imaging my fiancé, now husband, picking some cookie-cutter ring out of a random jeweler's showcase. I actually designed it when I was fifteen years old, with my great grandmother's Carré-cut center diamond. Her original ring was made in the 1920's and I wanted to stay true to that same style in my ring!

GOLDSMITH, JEWELRY DESIGNER, CAT MOM
Exodus Goldsmiths developed from a long-term love affair with gemstones and other sparkly things. I believe in creating one-of-a-kind wearable works of art that will last for generations.
I am a GIA certified Applied Jewelry Professional and I am also working towards my graduate degree in Gemology. I formally apprenticed and trained under a master goldsmith for starting at age 15, and have worked for many other jewelry companies since.
I live in San Diego with my husband, and our two fur babies Freya & Luna. When I'm not working on jewelry, you will almost always catch me reading a new fantasy book or playing cards with my husband at Moniker General Coffee in Liberty Station.
